My father taught himself all kinds of manual labor. Like building this steam engine as a scale model. The technical drawing was the basis from which he deduced all the parts that had to be manufactured. The steam engine was never finished because he died prematurely. The object is still at my mothers home. I put the technical drawing in a copper-colored frame. The steam engine is photographed from five sides, printed and folded into a miniature box. A miniature of a miniature, as a tribute to my father.
The funny thing is that I only now see that his model looks quite different from the technical drawing. So he made his own interpretation of it.
