You know. After purchasing a device, in this case a display, you are left with a huge box and a lot of Styrofoam. You keep the box because something could be wrong with your screen and then everything has to be returned to the store in its original packaging.
The screen did what it was supposed to do and the box was ready to get rid off after a few months. But I thought maybe is there something useful that could be made of it. What more can you do with a mold cast in a certain shape than throw it away?
I decided to make a display case with all kinds of stuff that I had in a drawer, box, corner somewhere, that I carry with me for a long time. My first radio, my nicest mobile phone, a pack of cigarettes from my father, a small glass elephant from my niece that brings good luck, a collection of stones taken after a holiday. I had fun turning everything upside down to fill this Styrofoam.
Perhaps this will give you an idea to look at waste differently and to contribute to sustainability, even if it is just a little bit.
