Normally when you hear that a dear friend is getting married, the gift would be an enveloppe. But since the bride-to-be has made an important contribution to the birth of my company, I thought it would be appropriate to give the new couple a lamp as a gift. A while ago I bought this stand that screamed 'I do' for me. I wanted to give it a rich look and incorporate a subtle translation of the florets into the macrame work. Besides white I also used a bluish and a creamy silver color. That way it flows together nicely. I made a flower as a light filter and the shape is also a reference to the torch of the Statue of Liberty in New York where they will be together. I hope they live happily ever after.
