Adding macramé to this sturdy industrial lamp seemed like a nice contradiction to me. I chose five light metallic threads, which I tied to the first ring. To the second ring I added a series of medium blue color and to the third ring a series of dark blue color. So from the center you see a gradient from light to dark. The extra wires keep the density the same in the outer rings. Anyway, only when it was finished could I judge whether the effect I wanted would be satisfying. Not so. With the lights on, it became a cold intention. In the meantime I had already hung it against the wall and that made me happy. With some LED lights I also tried to make it festive. It's possible, but I think it's at its best, against the wall with a mirror behind it for more depth. The skin reminded me of a sea urchin fossil, hence the name.
