In my younger years, I made a lot of clothes for Ken and Barbie. The inspiration came from a movie, a magazine, and a whole lot of imagination. I've kept many clothes that I cherish for the details. In this case, the sweater got a lapel, and I sewed dots cut out of the fabric onto it. Such a fiddly, meticulous effort, within a square centimeter. The fabric was probably my grandmother's apron. And now I find the combination of color and material truly fascinating. Even then, it was out-of-the-box...
